The AZVAFCB2MEL serves as the main controller for Airzone VAF systems, orchestrating up to 10 thermostat zones and handling damper actuation and auxiliary heat logic. The board’s onboard communication gateway enables direct integration with Mitsubishi Electric units and supports comprehensive monitoring of system operating status, setpoints, and zone demands.

Integrated Mitsubishi Electric Communication Gateway

Engineered specifically for Mitsubishi Electric air handlers and ductless/VRF systems, this control board includes an integrated communication interface that:

• Manages status and control signals from up to 10 connected zone thermostats

• Regulates proportional airflow and minimum damper positions

• Coordinates optional auxiliary heat stages (up to two)

• Facilitates system communication and coordination with Airzone connection bus devices

• Supports communication with external control systems via integration bus (MODBUS RS-485)
